'SOFT BODIES' @ SKYE Gallery

May 30th, I attended the opening of "Soft Bodies" at Skye Gallery in Chelsea with my fellow artist and part-time bestie Gianna Tesone. Hailing from Denver, each artist united to bring their creations to our fast-paced City, aiming to add a touch of warmth to our stone-cold lives.

💋 THE SUN, THE MOON & THE ROLLING STONES. 🇬🇧

Despite being in their late 70s, the Rolling Stones have not only continued to produce music up to 2023 (releasing their album Hackney Diamonds in October) but have also maintained their unparalleled legacy, rocking the world with pure euphoria.

Those Times 8:46 AM

A lot of times I wish I could hide myself.

I can just feel the judgement. Every word ppl wish to say but will save it for the comment section in some random chat. Every snark and eye roll. “Who does he think he is”… “That MAN!” Being a boy learning how to be a man… on my own.. my own way... Do they know that? When they stare at me? And judge me? Do they know what I’ve sacrificed?

Sometimes I wish I could hide how I feel inside so not to make others feel ashamed. Ashamed at the way we live pathetic almost , once a confident adolescent to now an overthinking adult. Because I am embarrassed.

I let my guard down.

Became this Man.

So he could climb up walls.

And then she let him in and I let it touch me.

And he touched back and I didn’t love her again. Not like I was supposed to but all that I knew …. all that Hassan grew from.

Embracing it still. And I’m embarrassed. Most times I wish I could hide. In the dirt. Inside her earth. Reborn to do what I should have done first.

LIVE @ LANDMARK : Ressource x NYC Artist @ Landmark Art Gallery

LIVE @ LANDMARK : Ressource x NYC Artist @ Landmark Art Gallery

Nahhhh I Had the MOST amazing experience at the Landmark Art Gallery checking out Luca Goly accompanied by Mia showcasing his talent! It was truly invigorating to feel slightly overwhelmed by the presence of other notable artists like Reid Stowe & Wife Maxine Hoover, DIG, and Miriam Portilla. Their energies motivated and inspired me in ways I didn't expect. Witnessing art from diverse corners of the globe was a surreal experience - especially the authentic connection between Miriam from Mexico and Josh Zweig from the Bust Gallery, as well as DIG's impeccable sense of style both on the canvas and in person.

Shaggy X JungleGod 4:20 Shake Down on Main St LIVE @ Bluepoint [FLEEcap]

Y'all ain't gonna believe the epic time the 'Youniteam' and yours truly, Mr. Moda, had jammin' with the Jungle God at Bluepoint in Long Island. We were livin' it up with RSNY MUSIC and the one and only reggae legend Shaggy at the 4/20 Smoke Festival. Ahhh a random highlight of mine was seeing B.O.B. and him then proceeding to do a series of acrobats. I will never forget that. Also bringing my partner Deb, and her getting to see Mr. Boombastic himself! Him performing a nostalgic favorite ‘Oh' Carolina’ was unexpected! Mann, Shaggy is an embodiment of black artistry, swagger and panache!! Feel me?? I look forward to what he will do with Jungle, inshallah.

And on the 9th day a Man arose from the Den

Not once a beast

Smiling with grimace

He befell all who would oppose the King.

IAN SULLIVAN | THE KID'S ALRIGHT

Reuniting with Old Art Crew in the Big Apple

Ah, New York! The Empire State! What a night it was, stepping back into the art world and reuniting with the OG crew at Ian Sullivan's solo exhibition, "The Kids Alright," in Brooklyn Navy Yard. I mean, talk about a blast from the past - Ian and I used to tear it up in Soho back in '17 (YOU REMEMBER THE FAITH CONNEXION DAYS!)

Walking into that exhibit, the vibes were all love, baby. The place was buzzing with creativity and inspiration, just like the good ol' days. And let me tell you about Eshama, that wild and magnetic photographer with his quirky aura - always the been a beacon of light to me! Prolly one of the FEW people to really SEE me, feel me?

Major shouts to Tyler Jordan and the Art Department for putting this shindig together. And let's not forget Scrapyard NYC and Mezcal for keeping the drinks flowing and the good times rolling. It was a night to remember, back in the mix with the art fam, celebrating Ian's talent and soaking in the electric energy of NYC. Can't wait to see what the future holds for US ALL!
