The closing exhibition at Basin Gallery on August 15th was an extraordinary milestone for me as an emerging artist. Being showcased alongside esteemed artists Cey Adams and Craig Anthony Miller (CAM) was a profound experience. The reception from the audience was overwhelmingly supportive, and I felt a deep sense of connection with the new viewers who embraced my work wholeheartedly. This event marked a significant leap in my artistic journey; I noticed a tangible improvement in my work and forged stronger bonds with my team (Debbie you’re an angel.).
The presence of my mother, my uncle Kibwe, my cousin Amyha and siblings added an unexpected layer of tranquility and fulfillment, reinforcing the personal significance of the exhibition. This experience has not only bolstered my confidence in my artistic vision but also solidified my belief in the vibrant future of the art scene in NYC. With renewed inspiration and clarity, I am excited to continue refining my aesthetic and contributing to the city's dynamic art landscape.
