JULY - I started my first week at Faith Connexion, embarking on the first MAJOR steps towards solidifying my Career in fashion and art design.

Home to Paris, founded by Maria Buccellati And Alexandre Allard, the leaders of the house chose NYC for the Official Flagship Location. Faith Connexion is a universe of creatives, experimenting in the art of capturing fashion and street culture; translating a dynamic array of styles through a variety of collaborations.

AND THAT'S WHERE I COME IN! -Thanks To the Store Managers And Faith Team (Micah, Fabien, Jeff & Kelly) I've been granted this very rare opportunity.

Last Year, my partner Yung Soul, had visited their debut event (while I was working late that night in the studio) during fashion week and was able to snag Micah's info; fast forward after a series of test and evaluations they decided to bring me in.

KEEPING THE FAITH ALIVE

Growing up, Soho has always been a critical part in pursuing my career in both the Entertainment and Fashion Industry, respectively. So many characters and even celebrities you are bound to meet, maybe even connect with. I've spent many of my years being as productive in the town as I could; either event planning, promoting or just hanging about all in hopes I find my perfect niche. Soul And I have made Mercer our official spot in recent years (Across from Vfiles and Ironically in front of Vmagazine. Total Coincidence we swear).

One major person I met this week was a young Artist-to-be from Dallas, TX, I've dubbed Nate -the Art Throb. Happy to call him my newest apprentice, Nate is very promising and inspiring. I remember in my early years pursuing art/fashion all the trials I faced as an African-American youth both in my community and in others; with friends family and so on and Nate was trying to escape to a world he knew called NYC. I wish I had a me growing up but to me, this makes up for lost time and I'm thankful that I can share these moments with my team.

And All Roads lead to SoHo; to think I used to hate how crowded it got. I used to feel like no one got me or as if i didn't matter but yet and still i've kept my wits and inner strength. And It's paying off.

Now I look forward to meeting different people doing what I love the most, just being me.
